Sign hangers and lighting contractors need a basket that can sit next to a fascia or a pole without the base sitting in the drive lane. That is articulating-boom work more often than scissor work.
Tell us the obstacle
A channel-letter install over a sidewalk is a different machine path than a parking-lot pole in an open asphalt field. Name the mounting height, what is between the tires and the work, and whether the work is after dark. Night work still needs the same overhead-line check, and it needs a lit setup if the site lights are what you are replacing.
If the sign is indoors in a mall or a lobby, start with a slab scissor or a spider lift instead of a diesel boom. The floor and the door decide it.
