Articulating booms

Articulating boom lifts, 45, 60, and 80 ft

An articulating boom bends. That is the point. Use one when the work is up and over a roof edge, a canopy, a pipe rack, or a line of parked cars.

45, 60, and 80 ft

45 ft covers a lot of storefront, sign, and low roof work. 60 ft is the class people ask for when a scissor cannot reach around an obstacle. 80 ft is for taller facades, site lighting, and plant steel where a straight telescopic boom would need a clear shot that the site does not have.

The knuckle lets the basket sit close to the wall while the base stays back. It also means the machine needs room to unfold. A tight alley can take the working envelope away even when the brochure height looks right.

What to tell the yard

Say whether the ground is slab, gravel, or mud, and whether you need a narrow aisle. Four-wheel-drive diesel machines are common in this class outdoors. Indoor atrium work sometimes wants a smaller electric or hybrid boom, or a spider lift instead.

We did not find a sourced Huntsville yard price for articulating booms in the 22 October 2026 research. The table below is national published rates, labeled with the date and the source.

Published national rates for a 60 ft articulating boom

These are national published figures accessed 22 October 2026. They are not Huntsville yard quotes. SitePro and American Rentals label the third column as 4-week. Vandalia’s three figures were not labeled in our notes, so do not treat them as a confirmed day, week, and month.

A Texas publisher listed 60–80 ft articulating booms at $625.00–$1,220.00 a day and $1,590.00–$3,000.00 a week. That band is Texas, not Huntsville. Texas Lift Rental.
